Janet Bolton

Janet Bolton composes textile images using the simplest hand-sewing techniques. Its inspiration comes from visual experience, memory, imagination - and sometimes a certain quality inspired by the material itself - the placement of each element in the composition and the feeling that it evokes being the factor important of each work.
Janet has been on the Crafts Council's Index of Selected Manufacturers since 1985 and her work can be found in public and private collections.

Janet is available to take workshops and give illustrated lectures.
