A life in stitches, paper and ink

My name is Jessie Chorley. I grew up in the hills of North Wales, near the foot of Mount Snowdon. My childhood home was a traditional Welsh miner's slate cottage nestled in a valley bottom. I was home schooled with my older brother by our mother, the famous textile artist Primmy Chorley. Art and embroidery were central to our education, with a particular emphasis on traditional craft techniques.
