Following in the footsteps of the past: Inspiration, intuition, imagination, imperfection...

Join me in creating a "little forgotten book". Collage, painting, writing and sewing will allow you to express your creativity. You can use fabrics, lace, photos and/or old paper, all fragments of the past that will be transformed into a unique, personal and moving creation.

A kit included in the price will be at your disposal, largely made up of fabrics, old papers and lace.
You'll also need to bring your own sewing equipment - needles, pins, scissors, etc. Feel free to bring your own finds and treasures to incorporate into your creations.

We'll be making a small castle from antique linen.
She will provide a pattern with which to cut out the elements and show us how to assemble and sew, by hand, the base and the different pieces. We'll have fun personalising each piece, inventing its own story as we sew (it's always very satisfying to sew together around a table) and at the end, all we have to do is paint our little castle... and give it a name.

 

Instructions will be translated if necessary.

 

All meals during the course are included in the package. Please let me know if you have any special dietary requirements.

The course will take place from Thursday 27 June 2024 (arrival in the afternoon) to Wednesday 3 July (after breakfast).

5 days/6 nights full board. One free day on Sunday, when we'll visit some charming villages and a few garage sales.

 

Depending on the number of students, you may be staying in a gîte 50 metres from the manor house.

The rooms will be single, but we also have rooms with private bathrooms.

We also offer the possibility of sharing a room with a friend (*decreasing price, to be specified when registering).

A deposit of 350€ must be paid on registration to reserve your place - this amount will not be refunded unless the cancellation is due to our inability to organise the course.
