Isabelle Strutz

Trained as a stylist, she designed fashion accessories in Paris, before moving to the Pays de Loire region. She then explored the hedged farmland, sunken lanes, streams and unspoilt countryside of this region. She loves to sew by hand, and little by little the landscapes inspire her with stories of hidden castles, embroidered families and ancestors, old books transformed into textile pictures. She is constantly collecting old textiles, which she uses in her work.
