Textile artist Anne Kelly will offer lessons in folk sampling
From April 13 to 16, 2023
2d / 3 nights
Arrival on Thursday April 13 in the afternoon for installation in your rooms, departure on Sunday morning April 16
2 days of training
Anne will bring samples of folk art to inspire you and work from techniques featured in her book 'Textile Folk Art'. Using fragments and precious pieces found in our collections and at flea markets, we will produce a series of folk-influenced print samples. These will then be layered and completed with lace, ribbons and stitches.
Hand stitching and embellishment will be part of the making and layering process. They can be used or made into a larger piece. Our theme is French folk art and treasures, and the course is suitable for all levels of experience.
I will ensure the translation of the instructions if necessary.
Don't be disappointed if the course is full, there is a waiting list, because sometimes a few cancellations make other trainees happy :)
All meals during the course are included in the package. Please let me know if you have a special diet.
*The rooms will be single and the bathrooms shared, we also offer the possibility to share a room with a friend (degressive price, to be specified at the time of registration).
If you cannot attend the course, please let us know as soon as possible or find a friend who can replace you.
Less than one month from the start date of the course, any cancellation will result in the collection of the deposit.
If the cancellation is due to mobility and group meeting restrictions related to COVID, the deposit will not be collected.
Price: 850 € / person*.
Deposit at the time of booking: 400 € cashed 1 month before the beginning of the course.
