You will make a small hanging piece. Using basic but effective techniques taken from her books, Anne will show you how to create a mixed media collage using items from your collections and charity shop finds.

Your piece will be embellished and richly decorated to create a special souvenir or gift. It can be added to a larger piece at a later date if desired. Sewing machines are useful but not essential. It’s helpful if you choose colours that suit your house/building and an image of your house/building to work from before the course.

Supply List

• A photo or image of your chosen house/building is essential

• A selection of plain and printed fabrics (small pieces relevant to the theme) Plain fabric

• (cotton blend or pure cotton), small pieces

• Ribbon or lace scraps - small buttons

• Dry glue stick

• Pencil

• Paper scissors and a few sheets of plain paper

• Tracing paper

• Sewing kit for hand stitching

• Fabric Scissors

• Pins

• Sewing machine and selection of sewing machine thread (optional)

• A piece of heavy cotton, canvas or linen no larger than 16 x 16 inches for background

I will ensure the translation of the instructions if necessary.

Don't be disappointed if the course is full, there is a waiting list, because sometimes a few cancellations make other trainees happy :)

 

All meals during the course are included in the package. Please let me know if you have a special diet.

The course will take place from Tuesday 28 May 2024 (arrival in the afternoon) to Saturday 1 June (after breakfast).
3 days/4 nights all inclusive.

Depending on the number of students, you may be staying in a gîte 50 meters from the manor house. 
The rooms will be single, but we also have rooms with private bathrooms.

We also offer the possibility of sharing a room with a friend (*degressive price, to be specified when registering).

A deposit of 350€ is payable on registration to reserve your place - this amount will not be refunded unless the cancellation is due to our inability to organise the course.
